The EU has banned over 150 times more ingredients than the US for use in beauty products. It currently prohibits more than 1600 ingredients. We decided to go beyond.

We have formulated effective products by partnering with LVMH Research teams. The main commitments we have taken together are:
establishing our uniquely high standards of accountability and banning almost 2000 ingredients, exceeding those set by EU regulations*
excluding a further 370 ingredients, such as BHT, mineral oils, sulfate surfactants
reviewing all allergens listed in EU regulations**
dermatologically testing our formulas on all skin types and tones
*EU regulations ban the use of approximately 1600 ingredients.

going beyond limiting our impact
Whilst the world of sustainability can be complex, making sustainable choices shouldn’t be.
In order to minimise our impact, we follow these principles:
we use only vegan ingredients. Our formulas are approved by the Vegan Society
we fight animal testing. We have been approved by the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny Programme
we have designed effective formulas using only the most essential ingredients
we work with an external eco-design partner to assess the impact of our actives before selecting them. This led us to use organic, wild, upcycled or biotech ingredients
we exclude any natural-origin ingredients which we assess to be unsustainable
we have banned ingredients we consider to be polluting such as silicones, acrylates, sulphate, petrochemical olefins, ethoxylated and propoxylated compounds, aluminium derivatives and PVP
